TSMotorsports 23, LLC of Plainfield, Conn. and HVAC Unlimited, LLC of Hooksett, N.H. have added their names to New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s (NHMS) Road Course Series for the remainder of the 2022 season. The TSMotorsports/HVAC Unlimited Road Course Series will include the 12 remaining Legend Car races at NHMS’s road courses, starting with three this weekend, April 23-24.

“I am thrilled to add my business’s name to the Road Course Series,” said Shaun Buffington, owner of TSMotorsports 23 and a competitor in the series. “I started TSMotorsports about five years ago to give northeast drivers an option so they didn’t have to go down south to get parts or get their cars fixed or set up, and it’s taken off way better than I thought it would. I’m so fortunate and thankful for my customers.”

Buffington, a Plainfield, Conn. native, grew up coming to NHMS while his father raced. He raced go-karts at NHMS in 1993, and although he started racing Legend Cars in 1996, they didn’t compete at NHMS until 2011. Since then, Buffington hasn’t missed a Legend Car race and has earned the Track Championship every year. He made history at the 2020 INEX Championship Banquet when he was not only honored with two championships, but was also presented with the coveted Bilstein Madonna Award, recognized around the world as one of the most prestigious honors a race car driver can achieve, for his accomplishments on and off the track.

“A big reason why I do what I do is to help young kids get going in racing; it’s satisfying,” said Buffington. “New Hampshire Motor Speedway is my home, and investing in the Road Course Series will ensure Legend Car racing is here for years to come.”

Gallant, a Hampton, N.H. native who has raced on Buffington’s team for about five years, consistently finishes on the podium and already earned his first win of 2022 at the April 15 season-opening event.

“If you say I can’t, then I will say ‘watch me,’” said Gallant, owner of HVAC Unlimited. “It’s because of that attitude that I have a very successful business and a name to remember in Legends racing.”

The TSMotorsports/HVAC Unlimited Road Course Series runs as a part of U.S. Legend Cars International. Legend Car racing is one of the fastest growing and most affordable types of American motorsports. Powered by a motorcycle engine, a Legend Car is a purpose-built race car designed to resemble the legendary American automobiles of the 1930s and ‘40s. Drivers range in age from 12-65+ years old.
