Gift of Lights

Thursday, November 28, 2019 - Sunday, January 5, 2020

The holidays are here, and that means it’s time for New Hampshire Motor Speedway to trade in the checkered flags for more than 2.5 million twinkly LED lights for the ninth annual Gift of Lights presented by Eastern Propane & Oil, open Thursday, November 28, 2019 (Thanksgiving) through Sunday, January 5, 2020.

The Gift of Lights has become a family tradition during the holidays. The 2.5-mile drive-thru light show will feature the Tunnel of Lights (the 130-foot-long infield entrance and exit tunnels will be brightly lit, giving a truly memorable experience that kids of all ages will need to see to believe), 520 displays, 80 different scenes and a s’mores pit.

Admission is $25 per car or bus (up to 15 people). Buses containing more than 15 people will also be charged an additional $2 per person for anyone over the 15 allowed.

Santa will be located in the NHMS Main Office on Friday and Saturday nights (through December 21). Kids of all ages can have their picture taken with the one and only Santa Claus for $5/photo. Cash or credit cards are accepted, but checks will not be accepted.

Be sure to check the complete schedule for days of operation when planning your trip, and please enter through the South Entrance.

Fundraising for the community is a major part of Gift of Lights, and that begins immediately at the front. A portion of the proceeds from each admission will benefit Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Chapter, which is the official charity for New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

A portion of the proceeds from the Yule Light Up The Night run/walk will benefit Speedway Children's Charities New Hampshire Chapter as well. Yule Light Up The Night, presented by Millennium Running, is a 2.1-mile run/walk around the NHMS property through the dazzling Gift of Lights displays on Sunday, December 15 at 4:30 p.m.

Last year, $4,033 was raised and added to their off-road utility vehicle fund. They are trying to raise $50,000 to purchase a UTV for wildland firefighting efforts, off-road rescues and searches for missing individuals. The funds purchased a purpose-built machine with a small water tank and pump as well as the capacity to transport a patient out of the wilderness. The unit is equipped with tracks and a portion of the funds were used to purchase an enclosed trailer to transport the unit and act as a command post during incidents.

The Loudon Fire Department provides Fire and Emergency Medical Services to the Town of Loudon. Station #1 is located at 8 Cooper Street and Station #2 is located at 56 Clough Hill Road. Station #1 is staffed with personnel 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
