“It’s kind of nerve-wracking,” said Brown when asked
about competing in front of a hometown crowd. “I
feel like there’s a little more pressure. This course is
awesome. It really represents that national style track
that we all love, so we’re all happy to see a lot of snow
out here and jumps that’ll send our sleds high in the air.”
Future plans for The Flat Track include introducing
more new events and racing series to Loudon, and
also bringing improvements to The Flat Track’s racing
surface. Planned improvements include adding banking
and 10 feet of width to the corners and approximately
2,000 yards of new natural clay surface, courtesy of
Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt.
“We’re always looking for ways we can improve the fan
experience and add new features to our major events,”
said David McGrath, executive vice president and
general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
“The Flat Track’s lineup gives our fans another reason
to love racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.”
What was once an uneven, sloped gravel overflow
parking lot has transformed into an award-winning
racing venue that features some of the most dynamic
            racing action in New England.
