Have a need for speed? Want to know exactly what it feels like to scream down a straightaway at 135 mph headed into turn one?

You are invited for a unique "thrill of a lifetime" opportunity to experience what it's really like competing at the NASCAR Cup Series level of racing you see on TV. With New England's only NASCAR Cup Series weekend just weeks away, New Hampshire Motor Speedway is hosting its ninth annual Media Racing Challenge on Thursday, July 2 from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Participants will experience exactly what NASCAR in New England is all about starting with a walk across the pre-race stage for driver introductions, a few "hot" laps around "The Magic Mile," the chance to get behind the wheel and compete against their fellow media members for the top speed and, of course, the winner will celebrate with a giant lobster in victory lane.

The winner will receive a $100 gift card to Makris Lobster and Steak House in Concord, N.H., a giant lobster and a trophy that he or she can hold onto for the year allowing for some wicked cool bragging rights! Past winners include:
