For many fans, New England’s only NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) isn’t just about the races – it’s a summer camping tradition.

Every year, thousands of campers transform “The Magic Mile” into one of New England’s largest and most energetic temporary communities, creating a weekend filled with racing, entertainment, tailgating and unforgettable memories. Whether you’re traveling in an RV, pitching a tent or gathering with friends and family, NASCAR weekend at NHMS offers the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and world-class motorsports.

More Than a Campsite – A Weekend Community

Ask longtime attendees what keeps them coming back, and many will tell you it’s the camping experience. The campgrounds come alive days before the first race begins, creating a welcoming atmosphere where neighbors become friends and every campsite becomes part of the celebration. Cookouts, cornhole tournaments, campfire conversations and tailgates stretch throughout the weekend, making the experience feel more like a summer festival than a sporting event.

Camper Appreciation Events Presented by Keystone

NHMS continues to invest in making campers feel like the VIPs throughout race weekend with the help of Keystone. Together, the two have designed events meant to bring fans together for even more fun and friendly competition.

The festivities kick off with Camper Appreciation Musical Bingo presented by Keystone at The Groove on Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 6-8 p.m. Campers can test their music knowledge, sing along to favorite songs and enjoy an evening of laughs with fellow race fans.

The fun continues with Camper Appreciation Karaoke presented by Keystone at The Groove on Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 8-9 p.m. Whether you’re ready to take the stage or simply cheer on your campsite neighbors, karaoke has become the perfect way to celebrate the start of race weekend.

Keystone is also presenting the post-race fun at The Flat Track on Friday, Aug. 21 starting at approximately 8:45 p.m. Immediately following the final SIG SAUER Academy Dirt Duels checkered flag, fans can enjoy fireworks followed by a live concert by Tim Dugger.

High-Stakes Racing at “The Magic Mile”

Of course, race weekend still delivers some of the most exciting action on the NASCAR schedule.

This year’s event features the NCS as drivers battle for crucial postseason positions during the Dollar Tree 301, one of the final races before The Chase, on Sunday, Aug. 23. On Doubleheader Saturday, Aug. 22, the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) will contest its regular season finale with the Team EJP 175, while the fan-favorite Mohegan Sun 100 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) race returns to thrill New England race fans.

Past attendees overwhelmingly cite the close competition, dramatic passes and nonstop action as highlights of the weekend, making the racing the perfect centerpiece to an already packed experience.

Make It a Complete New England Vacation

With campers able to move into select NHMS campgrounds as early as Saturday, Aug. 15, race weekend can become a full weeklong New England getaway. Fans can spend their days relaxing at the campsite, connecting with fellow campers and enjoying race-week activities before the on-track action begins.

The extended stay also provides plenty of time to explore New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, nearby small towns, local restaurants and outdoor attractions. Whether you’re looking for a NASCAR vacation, a camping adventure or a chance to experience the best of New England, NHMS offers the perfect home base.

A Summer Tradition Worth Starting

Whether you’re a lifelong NASCAR fan or simply looking for a unique summer adventure, New England’s only NCS weekend at NHMS delivers far more than a few hours of racing. It’s a chance to camp with friends, meet fellow fans, enjoy live entertainment, witness pivotal moments in the NASCAR season and create memories that last long after the checkered flag falls.
