Tailgating at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) during New England’s only NASCAR Playoffs weekend is a cherished tradition, offering fans the perfect blend of camaraderie, delicious food and pre-race excitement. NHMS has created a new option for tailgaters called Overlook Tailgate Hill, and whether you’re a seasoned attendee or a first-timer, securing a spot in this exclusive area can elevate your race-day experience.

NEW! Overlook Tailgate Hill

Located just outside turn four of “The Magic Mile,” Overlook Tailgate Hill is NHMS’s newest tailgating experience – and the only one where you can tailgate and watch the NASCAR races live from your spot. Each reserved space includes four wristbands good for both Saturday and Sunday. Additional wristbands can be purchased in advance or upon arrival. (Note: Grandstand access is not included). This is the ultimate way to enjoy race day with friends, food and a front-row tailgate view.

Village Green Tailgate Parking

Although this area is already sold out for this September’s NASCAR Playoffs weekend, Village Green Tailgate Parking is located directly behind the Main Grandstand and is the premier tailgating area at NHMS. Each 15’ x 30’ reserved spot provides ample space for your vehicle and tailgating setup, ensuring you’re close to the action.

General Tips for Tailgaters

  • Arrive early to secure your preferred spot and avoid traffic.
  • Know the rules. Familiarize yourself with NHMS’s tailgating policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Stay hydrated and prepared. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and snacks to stay energized throughout the day.

Tailgating at NHMS is more than just a pre-race activity – it’s a vibrant part of the race-day culture. By choosing the right spot and preparing adequately, you can make the most of your NASCAR experience.
