One of the driving forces behind the annual Gift of Lights event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) is the opportunity attendees have to give back to the community. The New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCCNH) and the Loudon Food Pantry each benefitted from the generosity of those who attended Gift of Lights during the holiday season.

This year, more than $23,000 was raised for SCCNH from event admissions and s’more kit sales. Since 2011, nearly $497,000 has been raised for SCCNH from Gift of Lights fundraisers.

Event attendees donated 501.05 pounds of food for the Loudon Food Pantry, which will provide 418 meals for local families this winter. Since 2011, nearly 106,000 pounds of food has been donated through Gift of Lights providing nearly 99,000 meals.

2 Military Mondays featured $5 admission for active military members and veterans.

2.5 miles of displays scattered throughout the NHMS property created the route for attendees to drive.

3 RGB tunnels dazzled passengers in each vehicle.

4 theme nights featured discounted admission for participants (PJ Night, Giving Tuesday, Pet Night and Christmas Sweater Night).

5 new scenes of holiday light displays included a farm scene, a candy cane shooter, a camping scene, a duck hunter and the iconic pole-licking scene from “A Christmas Story.”

37 nights of holiday cheer were enjoyed by local families (inclement weather caused Gift of Lights to close two nights).

47 scenes of holiday light displays were spread throughout NHMS property.

130-foot infield tunnels (2) twinkled with RGB lights.

200 gallons of propane fueled open fire pits (4).

387 displays were set up throughout the Gift of Lights route.

587 letters were written to Santa Claus.

1,179 s’mores were roasted over open fire pits.

1,069 participants ran or walked in the Yule Light Up the Night event.

10,504 vehicles drove through Gift of Lights.

Millions of LED lights lit up the NHMS property from Thanksgiving to Jan. 4.
