New England’s only NASCAR Playoffs weekend is set for Sept. 19-21 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS), and to kick things off in a big way, for the first time ever, the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) haulers will parade through downtown Concord, N.H. Fans are encouraged to line Main Street as the haulers pass through at approximately 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19. In front of the New Hampshire State Capitol Building, New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte will wave the green flag to officially mark the start of the Granite State’s biggest event weekend.

“Our state is proud to host race fans from around the world every year for the NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway,” said N.H. Gov. Kelly Ayotte. “I’m thrilled to bring the race-day excitement to Concord with this year’s hauler parade right outside our State House. Looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Granite State for an exciting NASCAR weekend!”

Approximately 40 brightly colored, 18-wheeled NCS haulers will be led by the NHMS Toyota Camry XSE pace car and receive a N.H. State Police escort as they drive north on Main Street from Hills Avenue to Loudon Road before making their way onto 393 East and then Route 106 North heading for NHMS. All trucks will stage in the Steeplegate Mall parking lot along Loudon Road in Concord earlier in the day.

The haulers will proceed to the North Entrance at NHMS and make their way through the campgrounds before entering the infield tunnel to their garage stalls. A much-anticipated convoy, the hauler parade is a great way for NASCAR fans to get excited about the action-packed weekend that awaits them Sept. 19-21.

“Our campground hauler parade has been a fan-favorite each year, as it marks the official start to the race weekend,” said New Hampshire Motor Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager David McGrath. “This year, we’re stealing a page out of Barnum and Bailey’s handbook and parading the rigs right through the State Capitol on their way to the speedway. We’re going to loudly let everyone know the NASCAR Playoffs have arrived in New Hampshire!”

On-track action kicks off Friday with practice and qualifying sessions for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) plus SIG SAUER Academy Dirt Duels at The Flat Track. The action continues on Doubleheader Saturday with the Mohegan Sun 100 NWMT race, the Team EJP 175 NCTS Playoffs race and NCS practice and qualifying. The on-track action culminates Sunday with the NCS taking on “The Magic Mile” to kick off the Round of 12. Don’t miss all of the exciting off-track action including “The Magic Mile” Happy Hour Show, Trackside Live, The Groove fan hangout, concerts from Draw the Line and Being Petty: The Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Experience, Family Movie Night featuring “Captain America: Brave New World,” driver appearances, a variety of live performances, fireworks and much more.
