New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials are pleased to announce the hiring of Danielle Cyr as the speedway's new marketing manager.

Cyr joins the New Hampshire Motor Speedway team after spending the last two years in the marketing department at nearby Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, N.H. There, Cyr managed all on-property events, handled media buys and planning, and helped build the brand in the local community.

"As someone who has worked with Danielle in the past, I am incredibly excited to see what she can bring to the table here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway," said Bill Quigley, Vice President of Marketing and Events. "Danielle has a tremendous energy and her experience and background makes her a perfect candidate to step in here and thrive right away. She is a wonderful asset to our department and company."

As marketing manager, Cyr will be responsible for identifying and targeting key markets as well as implementing key marketing initiatives.

"This is a great opportunity for me as I have knowledge of the local area and my experience in the sports and entertainment arena should allow me to hit the ground running," said Cyr. "I know I will face many new challenges, but I'm excited to face them and push through to make 2017 a successful one for New Hampshire Motor Speedway."

Prior to her position in Gilford, N.H., Cyr spent more than eight years in the State of Connecticut's Department of Transportation. A Connecticut Careers Trainee in the state's Bureau of Public Transportation from 2006-08, Cyr then became a transportation planner in that same department from 2008-12. She held the same job title from 2012-14 in the state's Bureau of Policy and Planning before joining Gunstock Mountain Resort in July of 2014.

Cyr graduated with a B.S. in Marketing from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn. She resides in Laconia, N.H., where she lives with her boyfriend, Shawn, and their dog, Millie.
