Pre-race pit pass FAQs (July)
Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 Weekend
What kind of access does this offer me?
The pass includes access to most infield areas, but excludes the Cup garage, drivers meeting, motorcoach lot, and any designated VIP areas. Pit Road opens at the conclusion of NASCAR's pace car training. It closes 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the race, at which time fans will be asked to move to the track surface (or their seats) for driver introductions.
Does this include grandstand access?
No. A pre-race pit pass is sold as an upgrade to the race day experience. It does not include access to the grandstand area, which must be purchased separately.
What kind of events can I attend?
Fans with a pre-race pit pass will have a great opportunity to get frontstage access for the pre-race concert and driver introductions. They may also roam pit road when it opens at the conclusion of NASCAR's pace car training.
Can I buy a pre-race pit pass for a day other than Sunday?
No. While Sunday is the busiest day for our fans, it's not that busy in the infield as the other racing series have already cleared out. This gives fans more space to maneuver, so we can safely allow them to access the infield during the pre-race.
Can I get a hot pass instead?
No. Hot/cold passes are NASCAR-issued credentials for working officials (track, teams, sanctioning body, etc.). They are not for sale to the public.
Will pre-race pit passes sell out or can I buy them when I arrive?
Pre-race pit passes often do sell out (and sold out as recently as Sept. 2017). We strongly recommend buying them in advance.
Can I bring my cooler into the infield with me?
No, sorry, coolers and beverages are not allowed on pit road and must be left outside of the infield.
