New Hampshire Motor Speedway executive vice president and general manager, Jerry Gappens, announced today the promotion of Tim Renyi to manager of corporate sales at New England’s largest sports and entertainment facility.
Renyi will now oversee all of the day-to-day sales activities in the speedway’s corporate sales department.
The Maine native joined “The Magic Mile” in June 2010 as a senior account executive in the sales department. Prior to his NHMS endeavors, Renyi spent three years at the Auto Club Speedway in California selling sponsorships for NASCAR’s top-three racing series.
Prior to his work in the motorsports industry, he has worked as the director of business development for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels Major League Baseball team. With previous stops in Nashua, N.H. working at the Pride of the Atlantic League and the Sports and Entertainment Matters in Boston, Mass., Renyi has proven his knowledge in many different facets of the sports industry.
“Tim is coming off of an amazing year as a member of our sales team here at NHMS,” said Gappens. “As the recent winner of the Sales Account Executive of the Year award, promoting him to a managerial position is just natural course. He is a prime example of how hard work pays off in this industry and I look forward to seeing him excel in this new position.”
Renyi boasts a Degree in Sports Marketing and Administration from the University of Connecticut’s Neag School. He currently resides in Maine with his wife Hannah and their daughter.
New Hampshire Motor Speedway hosts a variety of motorsports events, including two major NASCAR weekends each year. Other events include the Vintage Racing Celebration; the oldest motorcycle event in the country, the Loudon Classic; and a variety of sports car, club racing, and numerous driving/rider schools.
