The burnout has become as synonymous with winning a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race as the checkered flag itself. However, getting and up close and personal look at said burnout is a rare opportunity, even for the most diehard race fans.
But on Thursday, Sept. 5, any fan making their way down to the McAuliffe Discovery Center in Concord, N.H., will have such an opportunity, as two-time New Hampshire Motor Speedway winner Clint Bowyer will be teaching N.H. Governor Maggie Hassan how to burn rubber in the MDC parking lot. The burnout demonstration is scheduled for 10 a.m.
Bowyer's stop in the Granite State's capital is in preparation for the Sept. 22 SYLVANIA 300, the second race in NASCAR's 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. Bowyer, who has eight top-fives and 13 top-10s this season, clinched a spot in the Chase last weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.
*Please be advised that autographs and 1-on-1 time with Bowyer will not be available due to scheduling and prior commitments.
