Gift of Lights presented by Eastern Propane & Oil

Thursday, November 26, 2020 - Sunday, January 3, 2021

It’s time for New Hampshire Motor Speedway to trade in the checkered flags for more than 2.5 million twinkly LED lights for the 10th annual Gift of Lights presented by Eastern Propane & Oil, open Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020 (Thanksgiving) through Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 (4:30-9 p.m. Sundays – Thursdays and 4:30-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, depending on weather conditions).

The Gift of Lights has become a family tradition during the holidays. The 2.5-mile drive-thru light show will feature the Tunnel of Lights (the 130-foot-long infield entrance and exit tunnels will be brightly lit, giving a truly memorable experience that kids of all ages will need to see to believe), 520 displays and 80 different scenes.

Admission is $25 per car or bus (up to 15 people). Buses containing more than 15 people will also be charged an additional $2 per person for anyone over the 15 allowed. A portion of all per car load admission proceeds will benefit Speedway Children's Charities New Hampshire Chapter.

Gift of Lights will be open 4:30-9 p.m. Sundays – Thursdays and 4:30-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, depending on weather conditions. Be sure to check the speedway website and social media channels for closure information, which will be posted by noon that day, when planning your trip. All Gift of Lights traffic should enter speedway property using the South Entrance off N.H. Route 106 North.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Santa Claus is quarantining in the North Pole and will not be at the Gift of Lights this year. The gift shop located in the Main Office remains closed.

SCCNH hosts events and promotions geared around race weeks and other activities at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, as well as events across New England.

Each December, SCCNH distributes grants to nonprofit organizations in the region. In 2019, grants were distributed to 51 charities totaling $55,375, and since its inception in 2009, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and SCC have distributed more than $1.8 million, supporting more than 808,000 children in the local community.

Operating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the New Hampshire Chapter is governed by a board of local trustees whose sole purpose is to distribute the funds raised each year to qualified local children's-based 501(c)(3) organizations.

Last year, $3,736 was raised and added to their off-road utility vehicle fund. The Loudon Firefighters Association has hosted the s'mores pit during Gift of Lights for three years, collecting a total of $10,169. They are trying to raise $50,000 to purchase a UTV for wildland firefighting efforts, off-road rescues and searches for missing individuals. The funds purchased a purpose-built machine with a small water tank and pump as well as the capacity to transport a patient out of the wilderness. The unit is equipped with tracks and a portion of the funds were used to purchase an enclosed trailer to transport the unit and act as a command post during incidents.

The Loudon Fire Department provides Fire and Emergency Medical Services to the Town of Loudon. Station #1 is located at 8 Cooper Street and Station #2 is located at 56 Clough Hill Road. Station #1 is staffed with personnel 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
