Cheers To Three More Years
With the current NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points leader Brad Keselowski on hand, New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials announced that Miller Lite will continue its relationship with the Magic Mile, extending its partnership for another three years.
The deal keeps Miller Lite on as the "Official Beer Sponsor of New Hampshire Motor Speedway" through the 2017 race season. The announcement was made in the Jack Ratta Media Center on Friday ahead of the Sprint Cup Series qualifying for Sunday's SYLVANIA 300.
"We have had a terrific sponsorship with Miller Lite over the years," said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. "We're always looking to enhance the fan experience, through such initiatives as the (Miller) Lite Lobster Lounge, and this continued partnership with Miller Lite will only enhance that."
The Miller Lite Lobster Lounge is located directly across from the infield tunnel and is the perfect place to relax before or after the on-track action throughout the weekend. It features live entertainment and might even be the home of an occasional driver appearance. True to its name, the lounge features a variety of authentic lobster dishes, along with other sandwich and salad options for the non-lobster eaters. The lounge is open to all and promotes a family-friendly environment. It wouldn't be complete without products from its sponsor, Miller Lite.
Kevin Emmons, vice president and director of marketing for Amoskeag Beverages, echoed Gappens' sentiments.
"This (extended partnership) is great for local distributors," said Emmons. "And Brad's on-track success is a big part of this, too. Watching Brad on Sunday's is like watching a three-hour Miller Lite Commercial."
Keselowski, who was sporting his white and blue Miller Lite firesuit in the NHMS media center, won the July Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and is coming off back-to-back wins the last two weeks.
"I look at that picture of Rusty Wallace over there on the wall, the first race here at New Hampshire - and he's got Miller on his suit," said Keselowski, the 2012 Sprint Cup Series champion who has been sponsored by Miller Lite since 2011. "I always consider tracks that have Miller Lite as a sponsor one of my home tracks, so that's what New Hampshire is to me."
