Eastern Propane and Oil to Serve as Gift of Lights' Presenting Sponsor
The Gift of Lights, which has become a family tradition during the holiday season, returns to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for its seventh season with a new name. The Gift of Lights presented by Eastern Propane & Oil is a 2.5-mile drive-thru light show benefiting the local community and will shine bright starting the day after Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve.
"We are incredibly excited to have Eastern Propane & Oil on board to play a part in making this a special holiday season here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway," said David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway. "Eastern plays an integral part in keeping families warm during the holidays, so we are proud to have them continue our partnership during a very special time of year here in New England."
Open daily from 4:30-9:00 p.m., the Gift of Lights presented by Eastern Propane & Oil is New England's largest holiday light show featuring more than two million LED lights throughout the 400 displays. There will be 60 different scenes this year including holiday, patriotic, and racing themes along with the popular Tunnel of Lights which brings visitors into the speedway's infield. Stop and visit Santa's workshop through Dec. 23, located in the main office, for photos with Santa and the s'mores pit, just behind the main grandstand, for an out-of-car experience.
The Gift of Lights presented by Eastern Propane & Oil supports local charities with a portion of all ticket proceeds going to the New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities (NH SCC), the official charitable arm for New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Since this event started, the Gift of Lights has raised more than $150,000 for NH SCC, benefiting close to 300,000 children across New England. Yule Light Up the Night, a 1.5-mile run with Millennium Running, will give visitors a unique view of the lights on Dec. 10 at 4:30 p.m. and will also benefit NH SCC.
The Loudon Food Pantry has been able to provide an additional 58,000 meals from the 73,000 pounds of food that has been donated over the years. Patrons can once again save $2 off their admission with a donation of three or more non-perishable food items.
Every Saturday night, the Loudon Firefighters Association will benefit from donations at the s'mores pit behind the main office where families can sit by the fire roasting marshmallows and decorating gingered cookies.
The world-renowned Coca-Cola Santa Claus will return Dec. 9 for Coca-Cola night.
Admission is $20 per car at the gate. Buses are $20 for the first 15 people and $2 for each additional person. Theme nights will return for a special discount on entry.
The Gift of Lights presented by Eastern Propane & Oil will run daily through New Year's Eve, with planned closings on Monday, Dec. 4, Christmas Day, and a delayed opening at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10 for the Yule Light Up the Night.
