Maybe you have the need for speed, perhaps going 130 mph is on your weekend to-do-list, or just the idea of lifting tons of product is a top priority. Whether you just want to lift things up and put them down, or break the speed limit, New Hampshire Motor Speedway can fill the need.

Today, the N.H. Good Roads show will offer a fun filled day for the entire family as organizers show off the latest technological innovations in construction equipment. Check out new safety equipment, driver ergonomics and all of the other latest construction gadgets.

The show runs all day from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Guests can also enjoy a clambake and barbeque from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

The 64th Annual New Hampshire Good Roads Clam Bake will be held in the speedway's infield. Tickets are $50 and include two lobsters, steamed clams, corn-on-the-cob, coleslaw, beverages, and entrance to the equipment show.

For those with the need for speed this weekend, the Richard Petty Driving Experience is back in action at “The Magic Mile” from Friday through Sunday. At speeds of up to 130 mph, race fans can get behind the wheel or ride shotgun in a 600 horsepower NASCAR stock car.

Programs at the speedway this weekend include; the Rookie Experience which allows you to get behind the wheel for an eight-lap dash to the finish, and the Kings Experience, a three hour 18-lap driving program for the real racing enthusiast.

For those fans who would rather ride in the passenger seat, the Ride-Along Experience is the thrill for you. You can ride shot-gun for a three-lap sprint around the NHMS 1.058-mile oval with a Petty professional driving instructor. For more information on this or any other experience, please visit the RPDE website.

The IZOD IndyCar Series INDY 225 is just days away. This action-packed weekend includes; the Firestone Indy Lights 100, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Granite State Classic event and the American-Canadian All Star Showdown. Tickets are still available through the NHMS ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931 or through Ticketmaster.
