Three days of intense racing wrapped up today at New Hampshire Motor Speedway as the 88th Loudon Classic came to a close.

Connecticut native Shaun Buffington continued his winning ways in the Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour; capturing his fourth NHMS checkered flag this season.  Buffington remains undefeated at “The Magic Mile.”

“The whole weekend was great,” said Buffington. “I have no complaints.  The car was awesome. This is my home track, growing up here racing for 12 years gives me a big advantage over some of these guys who are new.”

Evan Beaulieu finished in the second position and Mathew Bourgoine finished third in the 15-lap showdown.

“I had a real good car today; this is a brand new car we built specifically for the road course,” said Beaulieu. “I had a goal at the beginning of the day just to keep Buffington in my sights and I was able to do that. I am definitely happy with my day.”

“The car was really good today,” said Bourgoine. “The motor was really strong. It ran really good out there. It was an intense battle with Evan but fun to go back and forth.”

In two-wheel racing, Shane Narbonne dominated the entire weekend by winning at least one race each day, including the 88th Loudon Classic.  This was Narbonne’s second win in North America’s oldest motorcycle event.  He led from the green flag to the checkered flag in the 14-lap event.

Eric Wood came home in second place during the Classic and Dunbarton, N.H., native and winner of the 87th Loudon Classic Scott Greenwood finished in the third position.
