New Hampshire Motor Speedway welcomes about 500,000 visitors through its gates every season.  This includes fans, competitors, officials, employee, race club members, holiday lights viewers and other motorsports enthusiasts.  While the majority of car and foot traffic takes place during NHMS' two major NASCAR weekends in July and September, those events are far from the only draw to NHMS.

The season kicks off in April with a FANtasy Drive Open House.  That event provides free VIP access to the facility, where fans can roam the infield, get a picture taken in Victory Lane, and visit Chairman of the Board Bruton Smith's suite.  The FANtasy Drive is the only time during the year when fans can drive on "The Magic Mile," as any fan with an upcoming ticket to a NHMS event can drive three laps behind a NHMS pace car.

Starting through April and running through October, motorcycle and driving schools, car clubs and race experiences visit NHMS as part of the track's comprehensive rental program.  It's during this time that most of the true speed enthusiasts can be found at the track getting their thrills.

Once each month the Loudon Road Race Series and Granite State Legends Cars arrive for a race weekend.  The two series provide some of the premier racing at NHMS outside of NASCAR weekends.  The pinnacle of their season is the Loudon Classic, which runs in June as a wrap up for the Laconia Motorcycle Week.

As the weather heats up, so does the track.  NASCAR rolls into town every July and September for the only two appearances in New England by the premiere Sprint Cup Series.  Accompanying the Sprint Cup, fans are often thrilled by the NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, and Global RallyCross Championship.

Before closing up for the winter, New Hampshire Motor Speedway closes out the year with the Gift of Lights.  This driving tour features well over one mile of lights and one million lightbulbs for the holiday season.  The event turns the lights on in mid-November and doesn't close up until after New Year's.
