Calling all NASCAR Fans! When you take a corner at the grocery store, does the cart go up on two wheels? Is your dog's name "Loudon"? When you change your tires, do you aim for record pit stop time? If so, you might qualify as the Ultimate SYLVANIA 300 fan. North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is celebrating its continued partnership and five year extension of the SYLVANIA 300, the second race in the Chase for the NASCAR® Sprint Cup, with New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) by launching a new race logo and contest in search of the Ultimate SYLVANIA 300 fan.
"This is a thrilling time for OSRAM and the SYLVANIA brand," said Jim Sanford, Vice President Strategy, Communication & Government Affairs of OSRAM SYLVANIA, the North American operation of OSRAM GmbH. "When OSRAM decided to continue the sponsorship of the SYLVANIA 300 for another five years, we were so excited we decided to create a new logo for this year's race. This excitement is just a fraction of the passion felt by the more than 100,000 people in the stands and millions more watching via TV on race day. We appreciate all those SYLVANIA brand and NASCAR racing supporters and out of all them, we want to find, and celebrate, the Ultimate SYLVANIA 300 fan."
Now through August 13, NASCAR fans can download the new SYLVANIA 300 logo at http://bit.ly/16rrnEE and submit a photo and caption featuring the new race logo in a creative way on the page, demonstrating why they think they are the Ultimate SYLVANIA 300 Fan. Points will be awarded for creativity with the photo and caption, use of the new logo and the number of votes received by each entry. Supporters can vote for their favorite entries August 14 through 16.
The lucky winner with the highest score will be selected to receive trips to two races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, the SYLVANIA 300 in Loudon, New Hampshire and the Bank of America 500 in Concord, North Carolina. Provided by NHMS, the Grand Prize includes for each race:
