Sean Efthimiou is the Electrician at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and works as a part of the Maintenance Dept.  He is this month's employee spotlight and answered several questions for the newsletter.

What are your job duties at NHMS?

"I'm the Facility Electrician, so I fix anything that has to do with electrical."

When did you start at NHMS?

"I started in April 2012.  I'd always worked over here as a subcontractor, so it seemed like a pretty good fit."

What do you like best about working at NHMS?

"I work with a lot of great people and couldn't ask for a better boss in Steve Fay.  In the Maintenance Dept., it gets pretty crazy at some points, and comical at others, but we all work hard."

What defines race weekend for you from a job standpoint?

"Everybody is asking for everything, whether it's power for this or that.  Powering generators or the scare of power going out.  I try to get as much info from people as I can to figure out what kind of surprises I might see.  I try to get as much lined up ahead of time as I can, as far as generators and power cords ... we go through power cords like crazy around here."

What do you do for hobbies outside of work?

"I love to fish.  I haven't done too much fishing lately, but I'm always doing something with my hands.  I'll catch whatever when I fish, it's pretty much for fun, and I'll go anywhere: ponds, streams, Lake Winnipesaukee."

Where does your family live and do you have any children?

"My family is pretty much spread out, from Baltimore to Florida to Maine.  I grew up in a big house in Franklin, N.H., in the middle of eight siblings.  I'm extending my family now.  I have a baby boy on the way.  He's due on December 26th and we're going to name him Michael, which is my middle name."
