When the green flag waves at the New England 200 on Saturday, June 26 there is a good chance it is going to be a Sprint Cup Series full-timer leading the field.

Five of NASCAR’s top drivers are probable entries for this year’s New England 200 at the “Magic Mile;” fan favorite and Conn. native Joey Logano, Kyle Bush, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, and Jamie McMurray will join all of the Nationwide Series drivers, including Indy Racing’s most popular driver, Danica Patrick, when they take on the 1.058 mile oval.

Although the Nationwide Series is a developmental program for the drivers of tomorrow, it gives the Sprint Cup Series stars of today an opportunity to sharpen their racing skills and simply have some fun without all of the Sunday business.

"I've had a lot of fun racing at New Hampshire, especially in the Nationwide Series,” said Carl Edwards.  “We've won here before and it is really neat to race in Fenway Park's backyard. Every once in a while I get to go see a game at Fenway and that's always a good time. But, those Nationwide races are pretty intense and getting a win at New Hampshire for Copart and everyone would be really special."

New Hampshire Motor Speedway has seen Cup regulars in victory lane for the past six Nationwide races and currently five of the top-10 points leaders are some of NASCAR’s top drivers.
