New Hampshire Motor Speedway invites all fans to invade the grandstands for “D-Day,” as Danica Patrick makes her first appearance at “The Magic Mile” during the NASCAR Nationwide Series New England 200 on Saturday, June 26 at 3:00 p.m.
Patrick will make her New England debut after a four month hiatus from the series driving the No. 7 Go Daddy Chevrolet for JR Motorsports for team owner Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
“Thanks to Danica’s enormous popularity and her no-nonsense approach to racing, we expect fans to “storm” our gates like the U.S. and British armed forces did on the beaches of Normandy during World War II,” said Jerry Gappens executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. “The on-track battle will be fierce with Danica as a part of the New England 200 field.”
From her start in go-karting at the age of 10 to her first win at the 2008 Indy Car Series race at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit in Japan, Patrick has always been a top competitor in the Indy Car Series and now hopes to leave her mark on “The Magic Mile” as she attempts to qualify for the New England 200.
