Distinguished Formula One competitor and SPEED commentator, David Hobbs, will serve as the Grand Marshal for Road Course Day’s at New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s 20th Annual Vintage Racing Celebration.
With a vast 30-year history of international racing experience, Hobbs has raced sports cars, touring cars, Indy cars, IMSA, Can-Am, and Formula One. Some of his most notable starts include the Indianapolis 500 and 24 Hours of Daytona.
After his extensive racing career, David now uses his knowledge of racing as a commentator for the SPEED Channel, covering Formula One, GP2 races, the SCCA Valvoline runoffs, and part of the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Known for his quick wit and sharing humorous antidotes about his storied career, Hobbs will walk the paddock area visiting with competitors and then participating in the Grand Marshal Dinner and Question and Answer session on Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Road course action at the speedway will start on Friday, May 21 through Sunday, May 23. Fans will enjoy intense competition as veterans race their vintage sports cars, formula cars, and motorcycles though the 1.6 mile course.
Tickets, which include infield admission, are $10 per day or $25 for the entire event. Children age 12 - 16 are $5 and children age 11 and under are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the Speedway Main Gate each day of the show. Gates will open daily at 9:00 a.m.
