Supporting the blood supply is a community-wide responsibility, which is why the Loudon Police is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive encouraging local residents to help save a life.  The Ninth Annual Town of Loudon Blood drive is scheduled for December 1 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Arthur Colby Safety Building on 8 Cooper Street in Loudon, N.H.

"Blood donation is a simple act that helps save lives," said Carolyn McNamara, American Red Cross Representative.  "The American Red Cross is appreciative of the Loudon Police for its support of our life-saving mission."  McNamara said the need for blood never diminishes.

All volunteer donors will receive an official American Red Cross navy blue long-sleeve blood donor t- shirt as well as a goodie bag.  Pizza will be provided compliments of Brookside Pizza in Loudon, N.H., and local residents will serve up their famous chili recipes and homemade desserts.  As an added treat, New Hampshire Motor Speedway's fan friendly mascot "Milo" the moose will join the blood drive event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.!  Bring your children and camera!
