They’re small and quick. They appeal to racers of all ages, and they’ve arrived to a new permanent home at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. One of the fastest growing divisions in motorsports, the U.S. Legend Cars will highlight Pre-Race activities on Sunday leading up to the SYLVANIA 300.
New Hampshire Motor Speedway recently created a brand new .25-mile U.S. Legends track in turns one and two of the 1.058-mile oval, adding even more motorsports magic to the speedway.
Since the unveiling of the first U.S. Legend Car in 1992, the series has grown faster than any other division in motorsports today. The idea was to create a more affordable and fun series for just about anyone. From novice to top gun, these cars provide the type of adrenaline rush drivers and race fans are looking for, just in a smaller package. Don’t be fooled, these cars can move.
Legend Cars are divided into four different classes; the Pro Division for experienced drivers, the Masters Division which showcases drivers that are 40 and older; the Semi-Pro Division which features drivers that are new to the sport of racing, and the Young Lions Division which is for drivers ages 12 to 16. No matter what the age of the driver, the car always stays the same!
NASCAR stars Joey Logano, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, and Reed Sorenson have all tried their hands at racing a U.S. Legend Car.
The U.S. Legend Cars will race on Sunday prior to the SYLVANIA 300, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Great seats are still available for all of this weekend’s events. Purchase them now by calling the ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931 or by visiting us online at www.nhms.com.
