Ron Hornaday Jr. has accomplished just about everything in his 14-year career in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, including a record four series championships.
This weekend the driver of the No. 33 Chevrolet will attempt to get his 50th win during the F.W. Webb 175 on Saturday, a feat that has never been accomplished in the series.
Hornaday is no stranger to winning at “The Magic Mile.” He is the only driver in the series to have three victories at the speedway. The California native boasts five top-five and seven top-10 finishing positions in 10 starts at the 1.058-mile oval.
The veteran driver is also in the middle of a heated championship battle with several of the sport’s young guns. Hornaday sits in the fourth position, just 47 points behind leader 21- year-old James Buescher and second place championship contender Austin Dillon, also 21.
Watch Hornanday attempt history at “The Magic Mile” during the F.W. Webb 175 on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is part of the exciting NHMS Saturday triple header, which includes the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour New Hampshire 100 at 12:45 p.m. and the American-Canadian Tour Invitational at approximately 5:45 p.m.
Tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are still available at the gate or by calling the New Hampshire Motor Speedway ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931.
