It’s the day NASCAR fans have been waiting for all year long, the Sprint Cup Series stars will race their way around New Hampshire Motor Speedway during the LENOX Industrial Tools 301.

The green flag is slated to drop at 1 p.m. but the off-track action starts bright and  early and continues through the pre-race ceremonies.

At 11:15 a.m., Draw the Line, an Aerosmith tribute band, will perform during the pre-race concert. Hailing from Boston, Mass., Draw the Line is the only endorsed Aerosmith tribute band worldwide.

Beginning at approximately 12:20 p.m. officials at the speedway will unveil a special POW/MIA chair. The POW/MIA empty chair and plaque will be located in “The Magic Mile” main grandstand area, behind the flag stand, a special reminder of those who serve and protect America.

Immediately following the POW/MIA Chair announcement, the speedway will host a special graduation ceremony for N.H. native Ashley Grady. Grady missed out on one of the biggest days of her life when her high school mixed up records indicating she did not have enough credits to graduate with her class.  Grady will have a graduation like no other, crossing the NASCAR stage during pre-race ceremonies today.

At 1 p.m., the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers will battle the NHMS 1.058-mile oval looking for a chance to hoist Loudon the Lobster in Victory Lane. Ryan Newman starts from the pole position, hoping to capture his second win of the weekend.

A limited number of seats are available for today’s event. To purchase tickets please call the NHMS ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931.
