New England’s largest sports and entertainment facility has been voted  Best of N.H. by N.H. Magazine for its FANtasy Drive open house event in April.

The speedway was voted best automotive event as the editor’s pick. Each year, FANtasy Drive kicks off the jam-packed racing season at the speedway.  The event features a unique opportunity for fans that had purchased a ticket to the LENOX Industrial Tools 301, the MoveThatBlock.com Indy® 225 or the SYLVANIA 300 to drive their personal vehicles around the “The Magic Mile.”

FANtasy Drive is just one of the speedways major events with fun for the entire family. The 2011 season of speed continues to race on with the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 weekend July 14-17.

This action-packed weekend includes five races from five different series, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, the Northeast favorite NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the Nelcar Legends Tour.

The action continues off-track with events like FanFest and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series hauler parade. FanFest is a free event that includes a concert from country duo Steel Magnolia, driver autograph sessions, question-and-answer sessions and much more.  It will be hosted on the evening of Thursday, July 14 at the track.

The Best of N.H. party is celebrating its 10th anniversary and this year’s bash promises to be better than ever.  The event will feature food and drinks from over 60 different winners, non-stop entertainment, prizes, raffles, local celebrities and much more.

“The Magic Mile” will be recognized at the Best of N.H. party tonight beginning at 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester. Tickets are still available through www.ticketmaster.com or at the arena box office.  They are $55 per person with all proceeds benefitting the New Hampshire Food Bank.
