LOUDON, N.H. - It's time to get blasted! For the first time, Color Vibe comes to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Color Blast 5K Run on Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m. More than 8,000 participants are expected to take part in this unique, fun-filled 3.1-mile course that will weave its way through the Magic Mile's camping and parking areas.
In a Color Vibe runners are a canvas, passing through four color stations along the way, turning their once plain, white shirt into an exuberant, bright work of art. A portion of the proceeds for the Color Blast 5K run will go to the New Hampshire Chapter of the Speedway Children's Charities.
"It's so fun to be able to have these new, fresh events come to us here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway," said Cheryl LaPrade, director of the SCC's New Hampshire Chapter. "This is a wonderful opportunity to not only get out and exercise, but to just enjoy life and have fun with friends, family and meet new people. You can't help but smile at an event like this and to have the Color Vibe be a proud supporter of SCC certainly puts a big smile on my face."
Color Vibe races are about pure fun and will not be timed. The powered-based colors are made from a food grade quality cornstarch using an advanced manufacturing process that has been custom developed for the Color Vibe Race Series. It is non-toxic, 100 percent safe and completely biodegradable.
All participants will receive a race packet that contains a Color Vibe race T-shirt, a Color Vibe prize, race bib, color packet and much more. Details on cost and participation can be found at www.thecolorvibe.com/newhampshire.php. Kids 7 and under are admitted for free, but will not receive a shirt. All kids must have a release waiver signed by a parent/guardian and turned in before they are allowed to participate. The waiver can be obtained and signed at the event.
