Bicycle safety and hybrid technology highlight a full day of activities at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, featuring the Formula Hybrid International Competition and the Dartmouth Medical School Safe Kids bicycle safety campaign.

The Formula Hybrid International Competition organized by the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth encourages students from all over the world to design, build, and race fuel efficient hybrid vehicles. Teams representing colleges and universities from Russia, Taiwan, Italy, Canada, and the United States have entered this prestigious international competition.

Although the Russian team has participated in the competition since 2007, this is the first year that they have been able to enter a car.

The N.H. Coalition of Safe Kids U.S.A. will be on track this evening starting at 5:30 p.m., delivering hands-on education to both parents and children regarding injury risk prevention.

Cycling is fun for the entire family but each year thousands of children are injured while riding a bike without a helmet.
