The inside track to victory lane in July may just come from a testing session in May. Six drivers from six different teams will visit New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a two-day tire test May 14-15 in preparation for July's New Hampshire 300 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

The Magic Mile announced the open-to-public Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company event will include two-time Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota; the youngest winner in Cup Series history Joey Logano of the No. 22 Penske Racing Ford; Dave Blaney of the No. 7 Tommy Baldwin Racing Chevrolet; two-time NHMS winner Clint Bowyer of the No. 15 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota; four-time Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet; and four-time NHMS winner Jeff Burton of the No. 31 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet.

Fans are encouraged to watch from the grandstands free of charge. Fans that receive a randomly drawn email invite will be able to take part in an exclusive event at the Grappone Center in downtown Concord, N.H on May 14 at 6:30 p.m. Bowyer and Burton will sit down with legendary broadcaster Dick Berggren for a Q&A session following the first day of testing.

"We are ecstatic to again be a part of the Goodyear Tire Test at New Hampshire Motor Speedway," said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. "Fans will have the opportunity to get a look at some of their favorite drivers in a very up-close-and-personal environment. We've got former series champions, track champions and future Hall of Famers in this lineup. It doesn't get much better than that."

Drivers will be pushing their cars to speeds equal to what they will be pushing them to on both NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekends this summer at the Magic Mile. Goodyear Tires are tested in real-time conditions to make sure the testing provides the right results and so engineers may gather the correct information that will help standardize its mile-track tire set-up with the research gained at other facilities.

Grandstands will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15. The infield will be closed during the test.
