17-year-old rookie Ryan Truex of Mayetta, N.J. was the fastest in practice earlier in the day, and remained on top during qualifying to win the pole for the Heluva Good! Summer 125 in the NASCAR Camping World Series East.

Driving the No. 00 NAPA Toyota, Truex turned in a lap time of 30.443 seconds and a top speed of 125.113 mph.

His family has a tradition of winning in New Hampshire; both his father, Martin Truex, Sr., and his brother, Martin Truex, Jr., have won at the speedway.  Ryan hopes to continue the tradition Saturday.

"We had a really good car," said Truex. "I think we ran the most laps in practice and the car was consistent. It was perfect."

Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Mass. qualified his No. 71 NEMO/Grimm Construction Chevrolet for the second position, with a lap time of 30.601 seconds and a top speed of 124.467 mph.

Germantown, Tenn.'s Kevin Swindell qualified for third position in his No. 9 Curb Records Chevrolet.  His best lap time was 30.616 seconds with a top speed of 124.406 mph.
