The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup is just two weeks away from racing into New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Race fans can expect a heated battle during the SYLVANIA 300 as eight of the top-12 have visited victory lane at least once in the Sprint Cup Series at “The Magic Mile.”

Stewart-Haas Racing will have the most momentum when the series returns. Ryan Newman and Tony Stewart dominated the July race weekend, both starting and finishing first and second. Newman boasts three checkered flags at the speedway and team owner Tony Stewart has two.

Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Kurt Busch also have three wins each at the 1.058-mile oval. While Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin each have one Granite State victory.

Saturday’s race at Richmond International Raceway was anything but pretty. The Wonderful Pistachios 400 was marred with caution flags that involved several Chase hopefuls. Johnson and Kurt Busch took turns wrecking each other, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. limped around the track with a torn apart racecar after crashing twice.

Harvick’s victory on Saturday night secured his top spot in NASCAR’s 10-race playoffs. He and Kyle Busch are now tied for first in the point standings since both have four wins this season. Gordon, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Johnson, Kurt Busch, Newman, Stewart, Earnhardt Jr., Brad Keselowski and Hamlin round out the 12 Chase drivers.

“The Magic Mile’s” action-packed NASCAR weekend features the Sprint Cup Series SYLVANIA 300, Camping World Truck Series F.W. Webb 175, the K&N Pro Series East New Hampshire 125, the Whelen Modified Tour New Hampshire 100 and the American-Canadian Tour Invitational.

Seats are still available for NASCAR’s second race in the Chase. Tickets can be purchased by calling the tracks ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931 or by visiting www.nhms.com.
