Each Monday we take a look back at the best performances from the week that was from around the region.

The week got an early start with the Modified madness that was Bristol Motor Speedway, continued with the ACT Late Model Tour championship chase heating up in Quebec, and then continued on the weekly short tracks all across the northeast.

Without further ado, let's find out who made The Podium this week...

1. Ron Silk, Norwalk, Conn.

The reigning NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion survived all the carnage being collected behind him and made a bold late-race move on Todd Szegedy to win the UNOH 150 at Bristol Motor Speedway last Wednesday night for his second win of the season.

Silk's victory was the first of his career at the half-mile Bristol Motor Speedway and moved him to within 27 points of Doug Coby for the series lead.

2. Brian Hoar, Williston, Vt.

Hoar put himself right back in the thick of the championship fight by winning the ACT Can-Am 200 in Saint Croix, Quebec, on Saturday night. It was the third win of the season for the eight-time ACT Late Model Tour champion and his third straight in the Can-Am 200. The all-time winningest ACT driver with 36 career victories now has five career victories at Saint Croix.

3. Keith Rocco, Wallingford, Conn.

Still nursing a broken left wrist, Rocco returned to SK Modified Victory Lane at Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday night by winning the 40-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series feature event. Rocco led the final 27 laps for his first win since surgery to repair the wrist last month following a practice crash at Thompson on July 29.

It was Christopher's 119th career Stafford win and his first in the division... Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville, N.Y., won the 35-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 35-lap Modified feature at Riverhead Raceway just three days after finishing fourth in the Whelen Modified Tour event at Bristol Motor Speedway... Steve Jones of Saco, Maine, earned his first career NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Division 1 victory Saturday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway by winning the 45-lap Pro Series feature...
