Each Monday we take a look back at the week that was from around the region for the most impressive on-track performances.

It was a huge weekend of racing around the northeast, with touring shows and weekly events that provided some truly remarkable results – including several drivers that continued on impressive rolls over the first half of the season.

Without further ado, let's see who made The Podium this week:

1. Corey LaJoie, Concord, N.C.

LaJoie won his second NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race in the last three events, assuming command of the Visit Hampton VA 175 at Langley Speedway with 10 laps remaining Saturday night en route to victory. LaJoie previously picked up his first career series win three weeks earlier at Bowman Gray Stadium.

With the victory, LaJoie – son of two-time NASCAR Nationwide Series champion Randy LaJoie – moved to within just one point of the K&N Pro Series East points lead at the exact midpoint of the 14-race schedule.

2. Doug Coby, Milford, Conn.

Coby dominated the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour's return to Waterford Speedbowl after a six-year absence, winning the Mr. Rooter 161 on Saturday night. It was Coby's third win of the season in just five races , giving him solid command of the championship standings as the Tour heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for its next event on July 14.

3. Wayne Helliwell Jr., Dover, N.H.

Helliwell led every lap to extend his ACT Late Model Tour standings lead and earn his second career victory in the White Mountain 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park. Helliwell, who lapped all but 10 other cars in the 31-car field, has won two of the first five races this season and has four Top-5s.
