Each Monday we take a look back at the weekend that was from around the region.

Not surprisingly, the TD Bank Oxford 250 weekend took center stage in most circles – with three different touring divisions all competing at Oxford Plains Speedway on the same weekend and the invasion of Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Busch.

So, without further ado:

1. Kyle Busch, Las Vegas, Nev.

Busch swept a pair of races at Oxford Plains Speedway over the weekend, winning the 38th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 less than 24 hours after winning a PASS-sanctioned Super Late Model race from the pole. Busch won in his third start in the marquee midsummer event.

Busch led 65 of the final 70 laps, taking the lead from multi-time champion Jeff Taylor following a restart.

2. Joe Doucette, Framingham, Mass.

Doucette led the final four laps after stalking the leaders to earn the win in the Bracket Mechanical 100 at Oxford on Saturday, collecting his first career Valenti Modified Racing Series victory.

3. Keith Rocco, Wallingford, Conn.

Rocco highlighted another 3-for-3 weekend in Connecticut's Modified ranks by winning the 150-lap main event at Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday night. The reigning national NASCAR Whelen All-American Series champion also picked up a victory at Thompson International Speedway and Waterford Speedbowl.

Honorable Mention

Ben Ashline of Pittston, Maine, won the pole for the TD Bank Oxford 250 and led the first 12 laps... Nick Sweet of Barre, Vt., finished second in the Oxford 250 after leading 67 laps... John Donahue of Granitevile, Vt., won the 50-lap Late Model event at Thunder Road on Thursday... Johnny Clark of Farmingdale, Maine, won the PASS 100 at Thompson on Thursday then finished fifth two days later at Oxford Plains.
