Each Monday we take a look at the top performances from the previous week.

Summer sure heated up this weekend, with races all over New England. Some break-out performances meshed nicely with some seasoned Victory Lane veterans. Without further ado:

1. Brian Hoar, Williston, Vt.

The winningest driver in ACT Late Model Tour history was at it again on Saturday night, winning the ACT Jim's Captown 100 at Twin State Speedway for his 31st career victory. It came at one of the few tracks where Hoar had never won during his decorated career, too.

Hoar is a seven-time ACT champion and current Tour points leader. He now has three wins in six races this season as he hones in on record-breaking title No. 8.

2. Lonnie Sommerville, Saint John, New Brunswick

After 23 previous tries, Sommerville won his first career PASS North Series Super Late Model race on Saturday night, claiming the Southern Maine Motors.com 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Sommerville led twice for a total of 35 laps.

3. Keith Rocco, Wallingford, Conn.

No stranger to The Podium, Rocco made it four SK Modified wins in a row in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competition by taking the 30-lap Mod feature at Thompson International Speedway last weeekend. The victory came after Rocco made history with three wins in three races a three different tracks the weekend before.

Honorable Mention

Evan Beaulieu of Durham, Maine, won the NELCAR Legends event at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough last Thursday and then followed with a second-place finish two nights later at Unity Raceway... Cris Michaud of Northfield, Vt., won the 50-lap Late Model feature at Thunder Road International Speedbowl last Thursday... Chris Pasteryak of Jewett City, Conn., won at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night for his second Valenti Modified Racing Series win of the season.
