Making Your Plans
Ticketing – please call our ticket office at 603-783-4931 if you need special seating accommodations:
- Wheelchair seating is located in multiple areas around the grandstands, and can be purchased in advance or on race day based on availability. An adjacent companion seat can be purchased for each wheelchair ticket purchased, as well as more nearby if you’re traveling with a larger group.
- Semi-ambulatory seating is available for those who have mobility limitations and need a seat on an aisle near a ramp. Let us know your specific concerns and we’ll do everything we can to get you something that will meet your needs.
Make a note of whether your seats are closer to the north (Laconia) or the south (Concord) end of the track – it will help you decide which entrance and parking lot to choose on race day.
If you’d prefer to visit the track when it’s less crowded, try one of the days leading up to Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
Arriving at the Track
You will approach the track on Route 106 in Loudon, New Hampshire. Orange cones are used on race day to configure the road for maximum efficiency. As you approach from either the north or the south look for electronic signboards indicating the entrances and lots serviced by each lane.
- If you have a state-issued disabled/veteran plate, hang-tag, or placard, make sure it’s visible to those directing traffic and get into the lane marked for HP parking.
- If you don’t have an HP plate, examine the parking diagram below and get in the lane servicing the lots closest to your seats.
All of the parking on NHMS property is free. You will see private lots offering fee-based parking along Route 106 as you approach the track, but those lots are not part of the speedway operations and are not supported by the on-site transportation described below.
There are five lots reserved for disabled parking – a primary and two overflows on the south end of the track you can reach through the Main Gate, and a primary and one overflow on the north end accessible through the TV/HP Gate. All five of these lots are serviced by the tram service and golf cart shuttles described below.
If you’re coming in an RV/camper you can purchase a camping pass, and there is an RV/camper lot designated for disabled patrons. Details are available at http://www.nhms.com/tickets/camping_passes/.
Getting Around
We provide several forms of complementary transportation for anyone who needs help getting around the facility:
- Large passenger trams operate continuously around three routes (Red, Blue, and Yellow), and each route has designated pickup/drop-off locations clearly marked by Tram Stop signs. All of the Tram Stops have benches near them, so if you’d like a ride just have a seat and wait until the next one comes by.
- A fleet of golf cart shuttles also circulates around the facility on racedays, with friendly drivers offering a ride to anyone who flags them down or looks like they could use a lift. These shuttles are white passenger carts with blue awnings, and several of them have been modified to accommodate wheelchairs. If you have trouble spotting one feel free to call the main office number (603) 783-4744 to request one to your location.
Trams and shuttles operate from when the gates open until approximately 1 hour after the race. There is, however, a “blackout” period immediately following the event when the shuttles and trams stop running for a brief time to allow pedestrians a chance to exit the grandstands safely. Please anticipate some wait time during peak demand immediately before and after the race.
You can bring a wheelchair or a Rascal/Hoveround-type scooter to the facility, but the following items are NOT allowed: bicycle, Segway transporter, personal golf cart, all-terrain vehicles (ATV’s), skateboards, or roller blades.
On-site Services and Assistance
If you require assistance during your visit please use any of these options:
- ask one of our helpful staff wearing a yellow uniform jacket
- check in at the Information Booth located at the gazebo near the South Ticket Booth
- visit the Main Office in the building near the Concord Grandstand
- call Guest Services at (603) 783-4931
Depending on availability, tickets may be purchased on the day of the event at the ticket booths at either end of the main grandstand. Will Call tickets can be picked up at the designated window in the south ticket booth.
First Aid stations are located at the three locations indicated on the map. For medical emergencies contact the nearest track employee immediately.
Bathrooms are located at regular intervals underneath each of the grandstands. Those which are wheelchair accessible are clearly marked with a wheelchair plaque outside the entrance. Portable toilets are placed throughout the grounds, a number of which have accessibility features.
The Frank Webb Bath Center, located south of the Concord Grandstand, includes accessible bathrooms and shower facilities and has a convenient tram stop right next to it.
Things to Do
Don’t forget to check out the extensive vendor displays, activities, and merchandise which are located underneath the Main Grandstand and just south of the Concord Grandstand. The trams and golf cart shuttles can drop you right near these areas so you can explore the sights and sounds of the Broadway Midway on your way to your seats.
There are also Pre-Race Pit Passes which enable fans to get even more up close and personal with the excitement leading up to the race. A limited number of the passes are available for purchase at the ticket booth just south of the Main Grandstand. Once you have your Pre-Race Pit Pass you can use one of two ways to get over to the infield with the garage area and Pit Row:
- cross the track near the finish line in front of section AS of the Main Grandstand. This crossing is only available at certain times, and requires the ability to use a set of portable stairs (5-6 steps) and walk across the track.
- alternatively, you can request a golf cart shuttle to the Pit area which will take you to the garage area of the infield by using the tunnel on the south end of the track.
Other Accommodations
Service animals are welcome for visitors who need assistance due to a visual or other impairment. These animals must remain leashed and harnessed at all times, and the owner is responsible for collecting and disposing of waste. If you require the use of a service animal you should request wheelchair seating to allow comfortable accommodation for the animal.
Those with some hearing limitation might be interested in checking out the Racing Electronics headphones which are available at vendor displays throughout the facility. These are not medical devices, but might offer some assistance in managing the volume levels during the race.
