The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is a staple at "The Magic Mile."  The modifieds have raced at NHMS 57 times in its 23 years of existence.  The regional series brings New England back to the roots of racing and the New England-based Town Fair Tire will sponsor the race for a second year.

Mike Stefanik won the 2012 race in a 0.003-second photo finish over Ron Silk.  The win was Stefanik's record-breaking eighth in the tour at NHMS.  He had previously been tied with Tony Hirschman at seven for the most all-time at "The Magic Mile."
