Like the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, when the leaves start turning colors, it gets to be crunch time for the Whelen Modified Tour.  This race is the third-to-last in the NWMT season.  In 2012, Doug Coby became the second driver in as many years to use a race win in the event to propel himself to the series championship.

The modifieds are a staple when it comes to New England racing and have appeared at "The Magic Mile" every year since it opened in 1990.  Local enthusiasts will argue adamantly that this tour provides the most exciting racing at NHMS.
