NHMS Helps Open New Airport Exit
New Hampshire Motor Speedway joined several Granite State dignitaries today in opening up a new connecter road for the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
The new exit connects New Hampshire’s Everett Turnpike directly to the airport and helps with the traffic flow of 26,000 vehicles that use the airport each day.
“With over 100,000 people coming to the speedway during our NASCAR events, it’s important to have the right infrastructure for our roads in New Hampshire,” said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. “With 10% of our fans flying in for races, it will definitely be more convenient for them, and believe it or not, the NASCAR weekends are some of the busiest at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. The new connecter is a great asset for residents of New Hampshire and for our fans at ‘The Magic Mile.’”
The highway, which is named after Raymond Wieczorek, an executive councilor who served as the city's mayor will be open to the public beginning tomorrow.
