Dylan Scott Set to Rock FanFest Stage Sept. 18
With hit country singles like "Mmm, Mmm, Mmm" and "Makin' This Boy Go Crazy," Louisiana native Dylan Scott will hit the WOKQ FanFest stage before SYLVANIA 300 NASCAR weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Officials announced today that Scott will be the featured act at 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 18, following the very popular Sprint Cup Series Hauler Parade.
WOKQ FanFest is located right in the Broadway Midway of the S2 Display Lot, which means it's easy to access and there is plenty going on in the busiest pedestrian crossroads on property. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with the famous Sprint Cup Series Hauler Parade beginning at 6 p.m.
With an electric stage presence, Scott has won two major music competitions - the final for the Colgate Country Music Showdown in his native Louisiana, and in 2009, the Neal McCoy East Texas Angel Network Talent Contest. It's Scott’s delivery and stage presence that was a major factor in solidifying his first ever tour sponsored by one of the world’s most recognized brands - Walmart and the FLW, a rare feat for any new artist.
Scott joins an impressive docket of talent to have performed FanFest, including Steel Magnolia, Trailer Choir, Brett Eldredge, Chuck Wicks and Jamie Lee Thurston.
Scott’s signature style launched with the debut single, “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy.” Co-penned by Scott, the track’s melody rolls through that perfect southern girl relationship that Scott proclaims drives his own life.
Because of his rock-bottom baritone, Scott knows some people will put him in the same vocal category as Josh Turner or Chris Young. But if he has to be compared to anyone in the business, he says, he hopes it’s for his character.
“I just want to be a class act, a good guy, and the man my dad raised, with a great work ethic, a strong sense of responsibility, and a love of making music that goes right down to my toes,” said Scott.
Other entertainment scheduled for WOKQ FanFest includes a Q&A with a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver, Balloon Artist, Raffles, Caricatures and Animal Show, as well as surprise appearances from other NASCAR drivers.
FanFest provides fans with a jumpstart to an exciting weekend of NASCAR racing that includes SYLVANIA 300 qualifying on Friday, Sept. 19; the return of the Camping World Truck Series in the form of the UNOH 175, the F.W. Webb 100 Whelen Modified Tour race, and American-Canadian Tour Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 20; and the Sprint Cup Series SYLVANIA 300, the second race of the Challenger Round, on Sunday, Sept. 21.
