The Chase for the Sprint Cup championship isn't determined by a vote - but if it was, NASCAR driver Joey Logano would likely sweep New England. On Tuesday, Sept. 15, the native of Middletown, Conn., will be campaigning throughout the southern New Hampshire area as he tries to rally his support for a second term as champion of the SYLVANIA 300, which will drop the green flag at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sept. 27.

The three-stop visit in the Granite State - home of America's presidential primary - comes less than two weeks before the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns for the second race in the 10-race elimination format. Logano will be shaking hands, kissing babies and trying to raise as much awareness about his quest to become the first driver to win back-to-back late-summer races at the Magic Mile since 1997-98.

Logano advanced all the way to four-driver finale in last year's Chase and is a favorite to win this year's championship. The New Englander is one of only two drivers this season to average a top-10 finish over the first 26 races (8.6), having finished in the top-10 in 20 races this season, including 16 top-fives, and will likely enter the Chase as the No. 4 seed with three victories (should he not find victory lane in the regular season finale on Sept. 10).

Logano is the youngest driver to ever win a Sprint Cup Series race, having done so at the age of 19 years, one month and four days on June 28, 2009 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Should he win this year's title, he will become the youngest driver since Jeff Gordon in 1995 to win a Sprint Cup Series championship in the modern era.
