Feed the Children and SCC Help NH Families
On Tuesday, Oct. 4, Feed The Children, in partnership with Speedway Children’s Charities and Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Motor Speedway Chapter, will deliver two truckloads of food and essentials to Blessed Sacrament Church: St. Anthony Food Pantry. The distribution will take place at 14 Elm Street in Manchester beginning at 4 p.m. The event is part of a nationwide effort by Feed The Children and Speedway Children’s Charities to help families in need.
New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of New Hampshire Catholic Charities, and Capital Region Food Program have pre-identified the 800 families who will receive a 25-pound box of food, a 10-pound box of personal care items and a box of Avon products. The items distributed are designed to help a family of four for a week.
This year, Feed The Children and Speedway Children’s Charities will deliver an estimated 500,000 pounds of food and supplies to those in need on behalf of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Infineon Raceway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway. In all, Feed The Children’s distributions in partnership with Speedway Children’s Charities will reach 10,000 families.
“We are excited to work with Speedway Children’s Charities and New Hampshire Motor Speedway to provide help and hope to people who have been affected by today’s economy,” said Travis Arnold, Feed The Children Chief Operations Officer. “This partnership will mean that more children and families in these communities will have food on their table.”
“Speedway Children’s Charities is honored to continue our work and mission with such a supportive partner as Feed The Children. We look forward to helping more children across this great nation.” Said Maj./Gen. Tom Sadler, USAF (ret.), Executive Director for Speedway Children’s Charities.
