Eastman Paces Bandoleros for First NHMS Win
AJ Eastman Gets First NHMS Win
AJ Eastman jumped to the front of the field on the first lap of the Gifford's Famous Ice Cream Bandolero Series on Saturday and never looked back en route to his first career win at NHMS. Jacob Perry and Casey Call finished second and third, respectively.
It was just Eastman's second race on the NHMS mini-oval. He finished third in his first career start on Aug. 24 and used the experience from that podium to put together a strong performance.
Call ran second for the first half of the race, but Perry passed him shortly after a mid-race restart and the two continued to battle for the spot through the checkered flag. The third-place finish allowed Call to maintain a large lead in the points standings.
The series will run an evening feature race on Sept. 21 as part of Short Track Saturday during NASCAR weekend.
