Bringing together scouts, scouters and families from across New England, the New Hampshire State Jamboree for the Boy Scouts of America will be held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Oct. 9-11.

This year's event is expected to bring together more than 4,500 participants for a weekend of fun and adventure across the speedway's 1,200 acres. This year's event is based on S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), with the theme "Build an Adventure with Scouting".

Events will run all day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overnight camping for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, Sea Scouts, adults, parents and siblings (6-plus) is available Friday and Saturday nights for $35 per person.

"Imagine if you will, the Disneyland of Scouting. That is exactly what the New Hampshire State Jamboree will be to Scouts and families attending," said Donald Shepard, Scout Executive and CEO of the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America. "Our volunteer committees have worked long and hard to provide the possible best program possible - one that everyone will be talking about for years."
