Arguin, Ux Join Speedway Team
New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials announced today the full-time hires of Kayla Arguin as events specialist and Ryan Ux as assistant sales manager of the Granite State Legend Cars dealership.
Arguin comes to the speedway from the American Hockey League's Manchester Monarchs, where she served as the community relations and events coordinator. Ux has worked as an intern in multiple departments at the speedway since 2011, most recently assisting in the management of the parts and sales business at the Granite State Legend Cars dealership.
Arguin will work closely with Jessica Ferreira, director of events, in the research, planning and processing of events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
"Kayla's passion for events and commitment to her work is very strong," said Ferreira. "She is a great addition to the events team and we are excited to have her."
Arguin comes with a strong background in sports, working for over two years at Learfield Sports, while also holding down internships in the athletic events department at the University of New Hampshire. Most recently, Arguin was hired as the community relations and event coordinator with the Manchester Monarchs after serving as team's corporate intern for sponsorships.
"I'm very excited about the opportunity to work for the speedway where I can implement new and creative ideas to make our events the biggest and best in the nation," said Arguin. "I've gained experience in the sports and events field and feel very ready for this next challenge. I'm surrounding myself with an amazing group of people that share the same energy and passion as me."
Ux joined the speedway in 2011, working both NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekends for the communications department. He then returned during the summer of 2012, working as a seasonal employee in the operations department. He served a second term, interning again in the spring of 2013, where he would serve as a starter for the Loudon Road Race Series and assist in the management of the parts and sales business at the Granite State Legend Cars dealership.
As assistant sales manager, Ux will be responsible for all aspects of the Granite State Legend Cars dealership, the largest of its kind in New England.
"Ryan is young, energetic and has the motivation to introduce new customers to the U.S. Legend Car International product line," said Tom Blanchette, director of operations for the speedway. "He has a strong desire to grow the customer base on not only the sale of new cars, but to also satisfy the customers' needs when coming in to purchase parts and or apparel. We look forward to working with Ryan as he continues to advance himself and the team at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Ux was born and raised in Nashua, N.H. He received his degree from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management.
"I'm excited and thrilled to be a part of the growth and development of Legend Car and Bandolero racing in the New England region," said Ux. "There's a lot of opportunity for these fast, affordable cars in the region - and I look forward to the challenges and responsibilities that lie ahead at Granite State Legends Cars."
